Established in 1973, Midland Alloy was initially involved in manufacturing windows and windscreens for marine and railway applications.
Soon after its formation, the company also diversified into the automotive and building industries, producing a range of sunroof frames, curved conservatory frame components and shaped architectural aluminium windows.

Over the years, Midland Alloy has developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the manufacture of complex curved metal products and components.

Whilst most work involves the use of aluminium extrusions, other metals such as brass, mild steel and stainless steel sections can be used to manufacture a variety of products for diverse industry base.

The company has always operated to the very highest standards, combining traditional craftsmanship and specialist skills with modern technology. Midland Alloy specialise in bending aluminium extrusions and other metal sections, 3 & 5 axis CNC machining, CAD/CAM, coded TIG welding, Fabrication, Finishing and assembly for the automotive, rail, medical, marine, building, engineering and other industries.

Core business is the sub-contract manufacture of components, sub-assemblies, frames and finished products made to customer specification.

Own products include purpose made shaped architectural windows, louvres and associates products.  Ships windows are also manufactured for the marine industry.


    

Key specialities are:-

  1. Bending aluminium extrusions using all types of forming processes.  Complex sections up to 150 x 200mm max cross section can be manipulated into 2D or 3D shapes.
  2. 5 Axis complex CNC machining using small, medium or large capacity machines (max envelope being 5000 x 3000 x 800mm).  Twin tables are used for efficient production machining of components in aluminium, wood, plastics, resins, composites and other non-ferrous materials.
  3. Aluminium TIG welding using state of the art equipment and experienced skilled staff coded to BS EN ISO 9606-2:2004.

Centrally located in Telford, Shropshire, in own 22,000 sq ft purpose built premises, both UK and European customers are supplied.
